摘要: In sensitive applications, machines need to be periodically calibrated to ensure that they run to high standards. Creating an efficient schedule on these machines requires attention to two metrics: ensuring good throughput of the jobs, and ensuring that not too much cost is spent on machine calibration. In this model of calibration, a machine can only be trusted to run a job when it is calibrated and the calibration remains valid for a time period of length T, after which it must be recalibrated before running more jobs. In this talk, we will talk about the recent works we did along this direction, including multiple machines, online algorithms and sche****ng with time slot cost.
